Why Productive Modes?
* Identified need in writing pieces, oral presentations and conversations,
i.e. 'yeah', 'like' and 'you know' often were spoken
* Need more than vocabulary
* Better to see/hear/speak/write it into action
What to consider when choosing activities?
* Repeating skills to practice language so students can experience success and build confdence in language
* Rotations are ideal for students to learn from each other - ZPD close range, i.e. mix high/med and med/low
* How to 'measure growth' of student's learning, i.e. assessment, and what I will be looking for

* Anne - Use rubrics to engage students in class, monitor growth and understandlearning intentions (Libby)
* Mary - Provide learning support for M with Deakin students who can help all students with him mixed in between
